Historic Churches magazine explores different aspects of ecclesiastical heritage with the focus on how it can be preserved. Its latest edition includes a feature on the Foundation’s work. The article can be downloaded below.
Its Editor, Jonathan Taylor, writes in his introduction to the latest edition the following:
"Heritage is the stuff we have inherited from previous generations and would like to hand on to the next . In the field of building conservation we tend to focus on the tangible evidence of past ways of life… However, the term’s true meaning is much wider than this, encompassing our surrounding landscapes and the natural world. It also includes the intangible, the cultural and living traditions that are passed down from one generation to the next, and which are so evident in the architecture and use of places of worship."
